With apologies to Cole Porter – “Summertime and the learning is easy” for Monroe County schools students in grades three through six, including students from Monroe Public Schools, thanks to the Community Foundation of Monroe County.
This summer, the Foundation is again offering students scholarship awards to pursue enrichment opportunities.
“This is a great program opportunity for our students because they could qualify for up to $250 in scholarships to participate in some wonderful enrichment opportunities,” said Julie Everly, assistant superintendent, elementary education, for Monroe Pubic Schools.
These opportunities include classes, camps or sessions with organization such as The Knabusch Math and Science Center, River Raisin Centre for the Arts, Toledo Zoo, Monroe County Community College, the Monroe County Intermediate School district and several other organizations.
