Monroe Public Schools
Penton to address MHS students
April 20, 2015

Former Ohio State football player, Joel Penton, who is now one of the nation’s top motivational speakers for youth, will speak to two assemblies of Monroe School students on Thursday, April 23.  Programs will be presented at noon and at 1:10 p.m.

Mr. Penton has spoken to more than one-half million people at more than 500 schools using a message of positive results from good decisions instead of negative consequences of poor choices.

As a youth speaker, he specializes in high school assemblies and middle school assemblies.

He played five years of football at Ohio State and four of those years he was an Academic All Big 10 selection.  He also played on three Big 10 championship teams and was a member of OSU’s National Championship team.  During his collegiate days, he received the Danny Wuerffel Trophy – called Humanitarian Heisman – as the one college football player in the country who best combined outstanding community service with athletic and academic achievement.
