Custer I Arrival Procedures
Student safety is very important to us. There are no staff members to supervise children prior to 8:30 am.
Therefore, students should NOT be dropped off at school prior to this time.
Parent Role
Parents will enter and remain in the parent loop. Parents will continue the flow of traffic and exit on Albain Road.
Student drop off/pick up: At pavilion at the main entrance. A staff member will assist in crossing the children safely across the bus lane.
Student Role
Children will walk safely to the building and enter the nearest doorway. Children will proceed to their classroom and sit in the hallway against the wall in a single file line until the bell rings. When the bell rings, children will calmly enter their classroom.
Custer I Dismissal Procedures
Parent Role
Parents will enter and remain in the parent loop and wait at their assigned stop to retrieve their child. Parents will continue the flow of traffic and exit on Albain Road.
Student drop off/pick-up: South Pavilion - students from Custer 2 will be here along with their siblings from Custer 1
Student drop off/pick-up: North Pavilion - students from Custer 1
Student Role
Students will be dismissed from their classroom in the following order:
- Walkers and Parent Pick-up at 3:46 p.m.
- Students in Halls 3 & 4 will proceed to Hall 4 when their bus number is announced over the PA and classroom radio. They will line up according to their numbered bus line.
- Students in Hall 1 & 2 will proceed to Hall 1 when their bus number is announced over the PA and classroom radio. They will line up according to their numbered bus line.
Custer II – Arrival Procedures
Student safety is very important to us. There are no staff members to supervise children prior to 8:30 am.
Therefore, students should NOT be dropped off at school prior to this time.
Parent Role
- Students being dropped off will be walked across the bus lane by an adult staff member. Students should not cross the bus lane alone.
- The arrival bell will ring at 8:51 and students may enter their classrooms.
- Students who eat breakfast at school should report to the cafeteria as soon as they enter the building.
Morning Bus Duty Main Entrance: A staff member will supervise the students entering the building each morning at the main entrance (outside the office) from 8:30-8:43 am.
Custer II – Dismissal Procedures
- First dismissal bell will be at 3:43 – all Kids Club students, and students being picked up will be dismissed at this time.
- Bus numbers will be called
Kids Club students: Will line up and Kids Club Staff will walk them over to Custer 1
Students being picked up: These students will walk down to the west entrance and will be released to their parents by a staff member.
Students riding a bus: These students will wait in their classroom for their bus to be called and proceed to the main entrance to line up accordingly for their bus.
